Fears of Love
In this series of paintings, I delve into the intense emotions that characterise my intimate experiences, employing raw brushstrokes and unaltered paints directly from the palette. This technique aims to mirror the authenticity and complexity of my feelings, allowing them to manifest organically on the canvas. By letting the paints blend naturally, I symbolize the unpredictable nature of love and relationships, where emotions often intertwine and evolve in unexpected ways. Furthermore, the theme of loneliness juxtaposed with the apprehension of commitment adds depth and intricacy to the artworks, reflecting the universal struggle of balancing the desire for connection with the fear of vulnerability. Through my artwork, I aim to evoke introspection and empathy in viewers, inviting them to explore their own emotions and experiences.
